First sod turned on long-awaited Men’s Shed for Mooloolah Valley

Sunshine Coast Hinterland men will soon have a new place to socialise, support each other and contribute to the community with the beginning of construction on the long-awaited Mooloolah Valley Men’s Shed. The new Shed, paid for by a Federal Government grant of $250,000, is being constructed on land behind the existing Mooloolah Valley Community Centre.

Jobs available on the Sunshine Coast ahead of JobSeeker extension

$1,000 available to Sunshine Coast Students in second Ready, Set, Go! bursary

Students on the Sunshine Coast could once again benefit from a bursary of $1,000 to help them enter the world of work under the second round of Federal Member for Fisher Andrew Wallace’s Ready, Set, Go! bursary. Applications are open for this second round from today until Monday 17 August 2020, after the first bursary was won by 16 year old aspiring Wurtulla sparky Tom Loane.

COVID-19 Respiratory Clinic Opens on the Sunshine Coast

A GP-led respiratory clinic established as part of the Australian Government’s $2.4 billion health package to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak has opened on the Sunshine Coast. The new clinic, established in partnership with Ochre Health and located next to the company’s medical centre in Sippy Downs, was launched today during a visit by Federal Member for Fisher Andrew Wallace.

Federal Government Provides Funding Lifeline for Australia Zoo and SEA LIFE

Australia’s zoos and aquariums, including Australia Zoo and SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium, will receive a much needed funding lifeline, with the Morrison Government today unveiling a $94.6 million support package to help them get through the COVID-19 crisis.
