WANTED! #Photos of Fisher
Federal Member for Fisher Andrew Wallace has today put out a call to Sunshine Coast residents to submit photographs of our spectacular region for his 2019 Photos of Fisher Christmas Card Competition.
Mr Wallace said “The Sunshine Coast is packed with picturesque views, natural wonders and vibrant street scenes. I want to show them off on my Christmas card, and in Parliament House once again this year.”
Mr Wallace is asking members of the public who live in the electorate of Fisher to submit photographs of the region by uploading them to Instagram with the hashtag #photosoffisher and the location they were taken, or by emailing them to email@example.com. The closing date for submissions is Monday 28th October 2019.
“This is the third year that I have run this competition, so I know that there are many of us out there who like to capture the unique beauty of our home. With modern smart phones it has never been easier. So if you have a great photo of our unmatched beaches, dramatic ocean, lush hinterland or charming towns, then send it in! Any image that showcases our region will be in with a chance.” he said.
A selection of submitted photographs will be featured on the Instagram page @photosoffisher. Mr Wallace added that the winning image would be featured as the front cover of his Christmas card, which is widely distributed in Fisher, and would be printed on canvas and hung in his office in Australian Parliament House in Canberra.
“My colleagues are already jealous of the fantastic views that decorate my office from the last two competitions. This year I’m hoping to remind them all once again why they should make a visit to the Sunshine Coast today!” he said.
The winning photographer will also receive a $100 gift voucher for a local business. Entries must take the form of a landscape photograph, taken within the electorate of Fisher, by a Fisher resident. Full terms and conditions are available at www.andrewwallacemp.com.au. Last year’s competition was won by Lyn Crandon with an image of Dicky Beach, while the 2017 competition winner was Jacky Vonhoff with her image of the Glass House Mountains.
The winner will be selected by Andrew Wallace MP and announced at the beginning of November.
